Permanent Demonstration Area Showcasing the Spirit of the South China Sea

JIALIAN Design has unveiled the breathtaking permanent demonstration area, "Merchants International Cruise City," in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, China. The project, completed in September 2019, captures the essence of the South China Sea and local sea area, embodying the spirit of China Merchants Group. The design team has seamlessly integrated regional elements, creating a magnificent scene through the artful combination of waves, boats, and architectural sculptures.

The 10783 square meters landscape area features undulant corridors, waterscapes, and open architectures, offering a unique experience that harmonizes the vastness and profundity of the sea with the elements of waves and boats. The corridors, made of perforated aluminum plates with hollow patterns, exude a futuristic ambiance, especially during the evening when illuminated.

The project overcame creative and technical challenges, successfully reflecting the corporate culture of the developer while establishing its brand confidence and embracing the cultural context of Zhanjiang City. This remarkable achievement was recognized with the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2022.
