Tranquility: A Serene Residential Design Project

HUANG JO HSI's Tranquility project is a testament to the designer's ability to create a serene and peaceful living space. The design team's second collaboration with the client resulted in a home that exudes warmth and tranquility, inspired by the client's love for music, reading, and collecting. The use of gray color schemes and carefully curated collections creates a space that reflects the client's spiritual characteristics, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The unique strength of Tranquility lies in its deliberate spatial transitions, with a clear boundary between public and private areas. The open-plan public area features a large desk and ceiling-high cabinets, guiding the mind into a state of calmness. The transition to the private area is marked by wood-grained ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows in the master bedroom, providing a wider view and a quieter sound in the audiovisual room, allowing the mind to move from calm to tranquility.

Constructed with a variety of building materials such as natural marble, Italian tile, painted wood veneer, raw concrete, and iron parts, Tranquility presents a minimalist and tranquil simplicity while exuding the warmth of home. The interior area spans approximately 297.5 square meters, comprising 2 plus 1 bedrooms, a living room, and a dining room. The meticulous planning by the design team ensures that the space immediately immerses residents in a peaceful mood upon entering.

The Tranquility project is a harmonious blend of dark colors, marble, raw concrete, and an audiovisual room, catering to the client's passion for music and reading. The deliberate use of materials and spatial design creates an atmosphere that filters out the noise of the outside world, offering a serene and pure environment for residents to enjoy quiet moments and peaceful thoughts.

Tranquility is a testament to HUANG JO HSI's exceptional design prowess, earning the project the Bronze A' Design Award in 2023. The project's ability to authentically embody experience and resourcefulness, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology, showcases the designer's strong technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in the quality of life.
