Tati Ferrucio introduces Veggies, a set of toys designed to reconnect families from urban centers with the natural landscapes of their cities. This outdoor toy promotes creative play and safe family environments, aiming to teach children how to take care of their own food and build a more sustainable living future. The project was completed in November 2017 at Universidade Federal Fluminense in Niterói, RJ - Brazil.

Veggies is a unique set of toys developed for children between 2 to 5 years old, aiming to stimulate outdoor play and enhance children's curiosity for exploring nature. Unlike traditional toys, Veggies does not reinforce gender stereotypes and promotes engaging play for children at a wide and non-conventional range of age. The set includes 4 toy vegetables and 2 shovels with 3 different interchangeable heads, designed to encourage group play and socialization.

The test prototype of Veggies was 3D printed in PLA and painted with sustainable solutions in mind. The parts are intended to be made of disposable plastic, grounded into grains and poured inside molds for the injection process, allowing a mix of different plastics and the addition of color pigments, resistance, and durability additives. The design also overcame challenges related to toy safety legislation and resistance to external environmental conditions.

Veggies was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020 for its outstanding and creatively ingenious design, authenticating experience and resourcefulness. The toy was recognized for incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to quality of life improvements and making the world a better place.
