Liu Haodong's Nanning Haoyouyuan State Banquet

Liu Haodong's latest project, the Nanning Haoyouyuan State Banquet, is a stunning fusion of modern oriental design and traditional Chinese architectural elements. The entrance facade, inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater villa, features a stainless steel structure and a large glass curtain wall, creating a tranquil and elegant ambiance reflected in the surrounding pool. The interior space is characterized by a color scheme of black, white, and bronze gold, complemented by wood finish materials, exuding simplicity and elegance.

What sets this design apart is its innovative spatial layout, which reimagines the traditional Chinese three-in-one courtyard system. The semi-enclosed and transparent space is layered using modern large curved surface modeling and metal grid, seamlessly transitioning between internal and external spaces while imparting a sense of ceremony. The project, realized using a combination of black, white, bronze gold, and wood finish materials, reflects the designer's commitment to creating a space that is both sophisticated and inviting.

Located in Nanning City, China, the project was completed from January 2019 to November 2019. Despite facing challenges such as client aesthetic preferences and operational considerations, the design team, including Guo Xin, Liu BO, and Zi Yan, successfully overcame these obstacles to bring Liu Haodong's vision to life. The project has received widespread acclaim, earning the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021, recognizing its exceptional creativity and contribution to enhancing the quality of life.
