James Kaoru Bury's journey in crafting Chouchin Candle began in June 2018 and culminated in its completion in June 2021 in Tokyo, Japan. The design made its mark at DESIGNART TOKYO in October 2020, captivating audiences with its fusion of innovation and tradition.

Challenges in maintaining the candle's compact size and ensuring the outer wax's resilience against heat and wind were overcome through meticulous iteration and material adjustments. This dedication resulted in a product that embodies the essence of Japanese craftsmanship and ingenuity.

James Kaoru Bury, a distinguished designer with a rich background in product, graphic, and interior design, has received accolades for his exceptional work.
