Li Hui's innovative electric vehicle, Komi, is a three-door four-seater designed to meet the safety standards of the European M1 and the space constraints of the Japanese K-CAR standard, offering a unique blend of safety, efficiency, and environmental friendliness. The project was exhibited at the Global Smart Travel Conference, China (Nanjing) International New Energy and Intelligent Networking Automobile Expo (GIMC2020).
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Li Hui's Komi is an electric vehicle designed to address the future challenges of urban mobility in Europe and Asia. With a length of less than three meters, it offers a compact solution for parking space constraints while ensuring environmental protection and low cost usage. The miniaturization of volume space costs for mini electric vehicles are less than 20000 euro, making it a safe, reliable, and environmentally friendly option.
Featuring a three-door four-seater design, Komi meets the safety standards of the European M1 and the space constraints of the Japanese K-CAR standard. It can achieve a maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour and comes with complete functional configuration, making it a smart and efficient choice for urban commuters.
The vehicle's small space and unique structure are combined with traditional stamping processes and more than sixty percent high-strength steel to ensure body safety. It integrates ESC body stability system, ABS anti-lock brake system, and EPB electronic handbrake to meet vehicle auxiliary safety requirements.
The overall size of the vehicle is length 2998mm, width 1478mm, height 1555mm, with a maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour, acceleration time of 7 seconds from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour, and a maximum driving range of 300 km, weighing 780 kg.
Key features include three-door four-seater design, collision safety, complete configuration, high cost performance, high-efficiency powertrain, cruise control, and a comfortable ride. The design also incorporates keyless entry, intelligent navigation, and an e-call system for enhanced user experience.
The project was initiated in Nanjing, China in 2019 and completed in June 2020. Komi was exhibited at the Global Smart Travel Conference, China (Nanjing) International New Energy and Intelligent Networking Automobile Expo (GIMC2020) on September 20, 2020.
Li Hui, with over 30 years of experience in electric vehicle research, has successfully designed Komi to meet the evolving needs of urban mobility, combining safety, efficiency, and environmental consciousness. Komi was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the A' Car and Land Based Motor Vehicles Design category in 2021, recognizing its outstanding innovation and technical excellence.
