DoReDo: A Unique Blend of Beauty, Wellness, and Community

Renowned designer Gautam Desai introduces DoReDo, a groundbreaking 550 square meter space in Nashik, India, redefining the salon experience. Inspired by the simplicity and user-friendliness of airport retail, DoReDo seamlessly integrates a beauty clinic, salon, spa, yoga studio, and café, fostering a sense of community and interaction among its users.

The design's standout feature is the captivating use of coral, symbolizing luxury and beauty, and serving as a unique identifier for the brand. The coral arches in the retail courtyard guide visitors through the various offerings, creating a cohesive and visually stunning environment.

Utilizing a diverse material palette including wood, galvanized iron, vitrified flooring, and innovative lighting, DoReDo achieves a perfect blend of luxury, industrial, and chic aesthetics, setting it apart from traditional salon designs.

DoReDo's interior fit-out, which commenced in January 2019 and concluded in April 2019, was a testament to the design team's ability to overcome challenges and deliver a cutting-edge space within a tight budget and timeframe.

Gautam Desai, along with Niketa Khanna, Ruchika Madhar, and Kavita Narvekar, spearheaded the project, culminating in the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing the space's practicality, innovation, and industry-leading design.
