Ricardo De Castro presents La Cima, a sustainable residential design inspired by the Sierra Nevada in Colombia, integrating nature and architecture.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ricardo De Castro introduces La Cima, a 340m2 house nestled in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia, integrating seamlessly with the natural environment. The design focuses on sustainability, airtightness, and self-sufficiency, utilizing bioclimatic architecture principles to minimize environmental impact.
The house boasts a unique blend of natural materials, such as local stone and teak wood, combined with environmentally conscious structural systems like PVC and architectural concrete. Solar panels ensure energy efficiency, while the design maximizes natural light and ventilation.
La Cima offers a breathtaking view of the city of Santa Marta and the Sierra Nevada, with a layout that blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a harmonious living experience.
The project commenced its design phase in January 2021, with construction starting in June 2021. La Cima is a testament to Ricardo De Castro's commitment to sustainable and enduring architectural works that coexist with nature.
