Material Matters unveils Mixc Food Hall, a vibrant dining space integrating local culture and modern trends, located in Ningbo, China.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Material Matters proudly presents Mixc Food Hall, a project designed by Eric Yang and his team, blending the local fishing culture of Ningbo with contemporary design elements. Inspired by the sculpture "Cocoon" by Zhou Li, the space features floor-to-ceiling metal mesh and butterfly embellishments, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere.
The project aims to provide a one-stop dining destination for all, harmonizing local food culture with the modern trend of "eating at the right time." Utilizing Class A fireproof materials and unique technology, the space achieves batch and modularization, while colorful embellishments reflect the exotic customs of Ningbo's seafaring history.
Incorporating traffic lines to mimic the shape of a canal and market-like showcases, Mixc Food Hall captures the lively essence of Ningbo Confraternity in the old port market. The unified style of signboards, door heads, and logos, along with murals depicting the port city's fishing culture, further enrich the dining experience.
