Formula: Redefining Coffee Store Design

Hsu Ti-Pin's Formula is a groundbreaking independent coffee store in Taichung City, Taiwan, completed in 2021. The 6.5m high building features large windows, creating a popular check-in spot with its sleek black, grey, and white design. The interior is adorned with 3D geometric shapes, evoking the image of ice drip coffee, the cafe's specialty.

The greenish-grey top is made with metal corrugated boards, while the weather-durable white middle section is adorned with granite paint and the cafe's name with backlighting. The 305 square meter space boasts a modern, inviting atmosphere with a focus on wooden textures and a soft white tone.

Incorporating the brand's concept, the design includes an image wall with the ice drip coffee logo at the entrance and a unique seating area with a triangular montage, enhancing the brand's image and customer experience.

For Hsu Ti-Pin, the challenge was to balance customer accommodation, comfort, brand image, and profitability within a specific space and budget. The result is a flexible spatial arrangement that enhances interaction between buyers and sellers, offering a unique and inviting environment.
