Renovation of Mountain Rock Comfy Home

Xu Xu Interior design co., Ltd. has completed the renovation of Mountain Rock Comfy Home, a 133 square meter residence in Taichung, Taiwan. The project, finished in November 2019, transformed the space into a subtle American-style residence for two people, focusing on health and functionality.

The renovation included the use of low-formaldehyde materials to ensure a healthier indoor environment. The designer, Yu-Ru Xu, emphasized the importance of air quality and utilized an air circulation machine to maintain a certain level of air quality within the residence.

The project involved the precise arrangement of space and traffic flow, resulting in a new layout with three rooms that perfectly met the homeowner's needs. The strategic removal of redundant space created a wider and cozier indoor environment, with a larger kitchen and dressing room.

The use of F1 class low-formaldehyde wood materials, which emit significantly lower formaldehyde, showcased the designer's commitment to creating a safer and healthier living space for the entire family.

The renovation project was awarded Bronze in the A' Design Award for Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design in 2021, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that prioritizes experience, resourcefulness, and quality of life improvements.
