Dayen Design Unveils "Beginning of the Time" - A Spiritual Forest for Community Residents

Dayen Design introduces "Beginning of the Time," a hospitality space in Taichung, Taiwan, finished in October 2020, inspired by Haruki Murakami's quote. The project, winner of the Bronze A' Design Award, offers a unique and tranquil experience for residents.

Dayen Design's "Beginning of the Time" is a 6611.6 square meter hospitality space that draws inspiration from Haruki Murakami's quote to create a spiritual forest belonging to the community for residents. The entrance reveals mountain scenery with elegant stone patterns, exuding a fortress of home comfort while maintaining a calm atmosphere.
The design features walls and floors paved with grey marble, inlaid with ever-changing dark stone patterns, creating a lively, slow mountain stream effect. The lobby's service counter is formed by scenic stones, and the main wall behind is made of antique facing stone, blending like a dream.
The space is realized using antique facing stone for the main wall, creating an ambiance reminiscent of the beginning of the heaven and the earth. The corridor pillars are presented with ink-sprayed landscape stone, adding a ritual-like calm and tranquil charm to the space.
