Zoe Lee's The Cube Nail Lab

Zoe Lee's The Cube Nail Lab introduces a modern and playful twist to the traditional nail spa experience. Inspired by the Rubik's Cube, the interior is characterized by a continuous ceramic tile pattern in pink, creating a simple, ordered, yet playful space. The space features rectangular and cube-shaped shelves carved from the wall, offering a unique and innovative design.

The Cube Nail Lab stands out with its thoughtful consideration of branding, using a refreshing pink color palette and copper finishes to create a warm and cozy environment. The space operates like a typical salon, with a central table for nail services and a bank of pedicure chairs. The reception desk, finished with a distinct tile pattern, serves as a visual attraction, drawing customers into the space.

The project, which started in December 2017, was completed in June 2018. The design team conducted thorough research to determine the best location for the nail salon, considering demographics, competitors, and design styles. Overcoming the challenge of connecting the 4x4 and 8x8-inch tiles from the wall to the floor and counter, the team successfully brought the Rubik's Cube concept to life in a three-dimensional space.

Recognized for its innovative design, The Cube Nail Lab received the Iron A' Design Award in 2021, celebrating its practical and well-designed approach that meets professional and industrial requirements.
