Zebin Qiao's Follow is a groundbreaking interactive speaker that reimagines the traditional music player by integrating form and function into a visually appealing bird-shaped design. The inspiration for this innovative speaker came from the inconvenience of small music player buttons, leading to the creation of a bird-shaped speaker that allows users to intuitively interact with their music collection.

Unlike conventional music players, Follow's unique feature lies in its bird-shaped design, where users can touch the bird's back to control functions such as song cutting, music collection, and pausing. The bird's position visually represents the progress of the song, while the color of its back indicates whether the music is collectible, providing an intuitive and engaging user experience.

The realization of Follow is achieved through injection molding technology, using ABS plastic combined with fabric. The speaker's dimensions measure 170mm×55mm×95mm, emphasizing its compact and visually appealing form factor.

Follow's interaction is facilitated through Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to touch the bird's head and tail to control song functions. The back of the bird changes color to signify music collection, while its position reflects the song's progress, offering a seamless and emotionally engaging music experience.

The project commenced in Tianjin in July 2020 and was completed in September 2020, with meticulous research focused on creating an interactive and visually intuitive music player. The design challenges were centered around effectively visualizing music progress and efficiently enabling music collection.

Zebin Qiao, a design enthusiast from Tianjin, China, has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the A' Design Award in 2021, where Follow received the Bronze A' Design Award in the Audio and Sound Equipment category. This accolade acknowledges the innovative and creatively ingenious design, showcasing strong technical and creative skills that contribute to enhancing the quality of life.
