Zhubo Design CO., LTD. unveils the innovative Guangming Public Service project, breaking the conservative Taishi Chair-like spatial pattern to inject vitality into government architecture in Shenzhen City, China.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Zhubo Design CO., LTD. proudly presents the Guangming Public Service project, a groundbreaking endeavor that challenges traditional architectural norms and redefines the image of government buildings. The project, located in Guangming District, Shenzhen City, China, aims to inject vitality into government architecture by breaking the conservative Taishi Chair-like spatial pattern, creating a new image that resonates with the district's emphasis on a green city development mode with low impact.
The design team's innovative approach involved preserving two small hills within the plot, reducing excavation work, and forming a group of green hills that extend to the Niu Mountain on the north side of the plot. The building is divided into two blocks with distinct forms at the vertical level, with the lower block functioning as a public service hall, featuring a rooftop shaped like an undulating "mountain range" to create a relaxing atmosphere.
The project's structural features include a shear wall structure system, overhangs floor by floor, and an undulating surface on the first floor above the ground, showcasing the project's technical prowess and unique design elements.
Spanning over 29,013.71 sqm of land with a gross floor area of 81,198.86 sqm, the Guangming Public Service project stands at a height of 53.3 m with 11 floors, 10 above the ground and 1 underground.
The project, realized between 2013 and 2019, was awarded the prestigious Platinum A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its exceptional and highly innovative design that contributes to societal wellbeing and advances the boundaries of art, science, design, and technology.
