Centennial: Redefining Lightweight Stability for Photographers

Colorado Tripod Company introduces the Centennial, a midsized carbon fiber tripod designed to meet the needs of landscape photographers. The tripod's focus on stability, ease of use, and minimalistic aesthetics sets it apart in the market. The design team meticulously engineered the tripod to ensure it is lightweight without compromising on rigidity, making it an ideal companion for photographers in the field.

The Centennial features machined aluminum leg joints and apex, with contoured holes to reduce weight while maintaining structural integrity. Its twist locks enable quick and easy leg deployment, while the spring-loaded levers allow for effortless leg angle adjustments with just one hand. Additionally, the tripod can be used with or without a center column, providing versatility for photographers in various shooting scenarios.

The tripod's construction involves the use of 10-layer carbon fiber for the legs, maximizing strength-to-weight properties. The CNC-machined and hard-anodized leg joints and apex provide a smooth finish and corrosion resistance, ensuring durability and reliability in the field.

With a height of 127 cm without the center column and a maximum height of 158 cm with the center column, the Centennial offers flexibility in capturing shots from various perspectives. It collapses to a length of 52 cm for convenient portability and weighs 1315 g without the center column and 1496 g with the center column, making it an ideal travel companion for photographers.

The Centennial tripod's intuitive design allows for quick deployment of the legs and effortless adjustments, providing stability and rigidity needed to capture sharp photographs in any environment. The project, which began in mid-2018 and completed in June 2018, was entirely designed and engineered in Denver, CO, showcasing the commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Recognizing the meticulous attention to detail and innovative design, the Centennial was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Camera and Photography Equipment Design category in 2020. This accolade highlights the tripod's outstanding technical characteristics, artistic skill, and overall excellence, solidifying its position as a top-of-the-line and professionally remarkable photography equipment design.
