"The Phoenix" Poster Design

Te-Sian Shih, a prominent graphic, packaging, and branding designer, has unveiled her latest masterpiece, "The Phoenix," a key visual poster for the Taipei Music Academy and Festival. The design, realized using Adobe Photoshop, intricately combines the imagery of a violin, a phoenix, and the sea to encapsulate the essence of music and the festival's spirit.

Measuring 18cm in width and 24cm in height, the poster features a blend of lines that evoke the sensation of smooth waves and music's sonic waves, symbolizing the enthusiasm of musicians and staff. The design's unique properties lie in its ability to convey the feeling of flying in music and waves, representing the natural and flowing style of Eastern music performances.

Shih's creative process involved overcoming the challenge of creating a poster without using any real pictures, a departure from her previous work. The result is a captivating visual that seamlessly integrates the violin, the phoenix, and the sea, representing the dedication and hard work of the festival's participants.
