An Experimental Design Project by Michelle Poon, Winner of the Golden A' Design Award

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Muse: Understanding Music through Visual Perception

Michelle Poon's 'Muse' is an experimental design project that delves into the perception of music through three unique installation experiences. The project, awarded the prestigious Golden A' Design Award, aims to provide different ways for people to experience and understand music visually, encouraging interaction and exploration.

The exhibition, located in Hong Kong Museum of Art Gallery 4, features three installations, each 2m x 2m x 3m in size. The project was realized using thermo-active fabric, acrylic tiles, and Antalis Skin Paper for printed materials, offering a multi-sensory experience for visitors.

Through 'Muse,' Poon seeks to challenge traditional perceptions of music and demonstrate the impact of visual communication on our understanding of sound. The project, which began in September 2019 and concluded in June 2020, has garnered attention for its innovative approach to exploring the intersection of art, music, and human perception.
