VIKTORIA MARCHEV introduces her SS2019 Splash Silicone Rubber Clothing collection, drawing inspiration from the vital role of water in the human body. The collection features 18 looks, including bodysuits, short dresses, and a stunning long dress, all crafted from silicone rubber using a unique molding-casting technology.
The designer's innovative approach involves injecting water and colorful liquids between layers of silicone, symbolizing the healthy flow of water within the body. The pieces, known for their seamless and neat appearance, offer a combination of flexibility and strength, eliminating wrinkles and ensuring easy maintenance due to their waterproof nature.
The development of the technology began in 2014, culminating in the creation of the Splash collection in 2018. The collection was showcased at New York Fashion Week in September 2018, gaining accolades for its eco-friendly and highly-efficient production process.
