Phuket VIP Mercury Studio: A Fusion of Planet-inspired Aesthetics and Office Functionality

Inspired by cosmic astronomy, the Phuket VIP Mercury Studio by Songhuan Wu integrates the aesthetics of the planet into its interior space design. The project uses a large number of circular elements and arcs, creating a unique and visually stunning office space. Located in Phuket Island, this project explores the in-depth exploration of sky aesthetics in architecture decoration while maintaining a high level of freedom and interaction with the surrounding environment.

The studio aims to meet the demands of office space for daily work while focusing on letting the visual space meet aesthetic and practical needs. The design also seeks to build a closer relationship between the entire space and the original surrounding environment, creating a harmonious and inspiring workspace.

With a focus on creative, innovative, and intelligent work, the studio utilizes the latest BIM standards for three-dimensional data management of projects, ensuring a balance of rationality and touch, decoration, and restraint lines.

The 570-square-meter space features main materials such as terrazzo art paint, aluminum plate, copper stainless steel, wood veneer, oak floor, and carpet, creating a unique and visually stunning environment.

Abstract elements such as the brand planet and geometric sphere are integrated into the design, achieving an overall shape and style of hard outfit outline label. The studio also focuses on in-depth furniture customization, allowing the brand symbol exploration to extend to a deeper level.

The project was launched in June 2019 and is expected to be completed in December 2019. Throughout the design process, Songhuan Wu has worked to integrate indoor space design with cross-border thinking, constantly exploring the combination of culture and space in different countries to create new elements and culture.

Despite challenges such as project planning on abandoned roads and the need to integrate with the natural environment without destroying it, the Phuket VIP Mercury Studio successfully balances space openness and functionality, division and combination of functional areas, and the regularity and change of the basic spatial style.

As a designer specializing in commercial space, Songhuan Wu's professional vision is to promote the aesthetics of commercial space to have a positive impact on people's lives. His work has been recognized with the prestigious Platinum A' Design Award in 2020, showcasing unmatched professionalism, genius, and contributing to societal wellbeing.
