CHEN HUNG-CHOU Chang Kai-Hsien introduces a unique residential space design, balancing three generations' diverse styles and needs, completed in February 2018 in Taiwan.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CHEN HUNG-CHOU Chang Kai-Hsien presents "Lights," a remarkable residential space design project that redefines living spaces in a five-story building. The project, completed in February 2018 in Taiwan, is a testament to the designer's ability to balance the diverse needs and styles of three generations living under one roof.
The design leverages the original high ceilings to create a spacious atmosphere, utilizing natural woods and marble to adorn the space. The younger generation's preference for a simple, stylish, and industrial loft style contrasts with the elder generation's taste, resulting in a unique and vibrant living atmosphere.
The project's centerpiece is a new spiral staircase that connects all floors seamlessly, featuring LED lamps to visually enhance the entire structure. The living room, dining area, and kitchen on the first floor benefit from a 5-meter-high ceiling, allowing ample sunlight to illuminate the interior through large windows, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor experience.
CHEN HUNG-CHOU Chang Kai-Hsien's design prowess is further exemplified by the project's recognition, as it was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2020 for its outstanding expertise and innovation in interior space, retail, and exhibition design.
