Art Book "PRESS" by Tsuyoshi Omori

Tsuyoshi Omori's "PRESS" is an art book that delves into the impact of artificial intelligence on our visual association process. Featuring 8 thought-provoking collages and keywords derived from an image search algorithm, this book challenges viewers to question their reliance on online search results. Each collage and its associated keywords are printed separately on tracing paper, allowing for a unique viewing experience from different angles. The typography of the title creatively evokes the image of a roller printing machine, adding another layer of depth to the design.

The art book, measuring 210mm x 210mm x 10mm with 40 pages, utilizes stretchy paper and acrylic paints to minimize the artist's personal influence. Alternating between plain and tracing papers, "PRESS" offers a captivating blend of art and technology. The project commenced in Tokyo in February 2019 and culminated in the book's publication on June 27, 2019.

Omori's work was showcased at the Tokyo Art Book Fair 2019, with more exhibitions on the horizon. The thought-provoking nature of "PRESS" has garnered recognition, earning the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020 for its innovative approach to visual communication and design.
