Architect Seyed Hamed Jafari Unveils Rouzan, a Unique Blend of Past and Present
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Architect Seyed Hamed Jafari introduces Rouzan, a residential building that seamlessly blends traditional Iranian architectural elements with modern design concepts. Inspired by the client's childhood memories of a traditional Iranian house, Rouzan features a unique canopy window pattern design that pays homage to the past while incorporating advanced architectural touches.
Rouzan offers residents the opportunity to experience two lifestyles in one, combining the charm of a traditional Iranian house with the comfort and sophistication of a modern apartment. From the facade to the interiors and rooftop amenities, the building showcases traditional bricks, semi-transparent bricks, and wooden canopies, while integrating advanced architectural features to appeal to modern sensibilities.
The facade of Rouzan is meticulously designed using indigenous materials, with intricate brick patterns and signature electrical canopy window designs. The building's unique rotating canopy windows are remotely controlled to optimize sunlight entry in winter and minimize heat absorption in summer, catering to Isfahan's hot and dry summers and cold winters.
Spanning a land area of 202 sqm and an occupied area of 620 sqm, Rouzan stands as a testament to innovative climate architecture, vernacular design, and the seamless integration of traditional and modern elements.
Co-Architect Azadeh Gaminian and Structural Execution by Gholamali Shafiei were instrumental in realizing this exceptional project, which commenced in November 2016 and reached completion in January 2019.
Recipient of the prestigious A' Design Award in 2020, Rouzan exemplifies a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, setting a new standard for residential architecture in Isfahan, Iran.
