Renovation Project Transforms Countryside Banquet Hall

Mix Architecture, led by Ziye Wu, has completed the transformation of a countryside banquet hall into a unique sun shed, blending rural inspiration with modern design. The project, located in Jiangsu, China, was designed in July 2017 and finished in January 2018, offering a versatile space for various social activities.

The design concept draws inspiration from the rural landscape, incorporating elements such as tree-lined backgrounds and bamboo-woven pillars to create a natural and inviting atmosphere. The sun shed's adaptive reuse of village renovation has garnered attention for its innovative approach to revitalizing rural spaces.
