Lab Future Construction: Unveiling Hou-Ru Wen

Lab Future Construction (LFC) presents an innovative exploration of interstellar communication through the development of Hou-Ru Wen, a new language designed to connect with extraterrestrial civilizations. Led by designer Tsung-Han Lin, the exhibition challenges traditional communication barriers and offers an interactive experience for visitors. The project, which ran from January to May 2021 in Taiwan, delves into the imaginative possibilities of construction and communication.

The exhibition redefines the traditional one-way narrative by fostering a dialogue between visitors and the exhibition rooms, emphasizing diversity in perspectives and possibilities. Through the development of Hou-Ru Wen, the project aims to transcend language barriers and facilitate communication with other planets in outer space.

Utilizing a participatory design approach, LFC extends its concept to the exhibition venue, website, and catalog, emphasizing the spirit of circulation, co-construction, and diversity. The project's unique design allows for the absorption of a larger audience, promoting the idea of communication without boundaries.
