Nature-Inspired Restaurant Bar Design

Wei En Wayne Lin's Gum design draws inspiration from the site environment and the original personality of GumGum Group, creating a space that embodies nature, relaxation, and freedom. The 250 square meter space features a 6-meter-tall tree as a spiritual theme, with a radial arrangement of seats for free gathering and a seamless indoor-outdoor experience.

The design utilizes warm-colored wood, natural texture concrete, rusty iron, and blue ceramic tiles to realize the vision of a warm, intimate, and nature-inspired restaurant bar. Despite facing time constraints and economic challenges, the design successfully balances aesthetics and functionality, offering a unique dining experience in the competitive Neihu Science Park area.

Wei En Wayne Lin's vision for Gum goes beyond aesthetics, aiming to create a space that connects people and awakens the senses to the environment. The design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2022, celebrating its outstanding creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements.
