Chen-lin Interior Design unveils Cuboid No 4, a modern office space in Taipei City, Taiwan, blending industrial and British maritime styles to create a distinctive and functional workspace.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chen-lin Interior Design introduces Cuboid No 4, a cutting-edge office space that seamlessly integrates industrial and British maritime styles, located in the heart of Taipei City. Inspired by the client's affinity for industrial aesthetics and the adventurous spirit of the British maritime era, the design incorporates elements of shipping containers, black steering wheels, and round cabin windows, reflecting the essence of import and export trade. This unique approach results in a spatial appearance that is both distinctive and functional, setting it apart from traditional office spaces.
Unlike conventional office layouts, Cuboid No 4 prioritizes employee interaction and mobility. The project features a semi-open design that utilizes virtual and real design techniques to define spaces, including supervisor offices, a pantry, meeting rooms, and rest areas. This innovative approach creates a comfortable and flexible modern working environment, enhancing the overall productivity and well-being of the employees.
Constructed using Pandomo, retro red brick, moru glass, LED light bars, iron mesh, iron plate, and titanium-plated metal, Cuboid No 4 boasts a unique blend of materials that contribute to its distinctive aesthetic. The office space spans approximately 210 square meters, accommodating various functional areas such as employee offices, supervisor offices, a conference room, pantry, rest space, and toilet, catering to the diverse needs of the workforce.
Chen-lin Interior Design's Cuboid No 4 project commenced in February 2019 and reached completion in April 2020. The design team overcame numerous challenges, including optimizing limited space and integrating a mezzanine to expand the functional use of the office space. The project's exceptional creativity and resourcefulness were recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, highlighting its outstanding contribution to art, science, design, and technology.
