Revolutionary Modular Design for Children Learning Center

Seed Music Academy proudly unveils its innovative modular design, a project led by renowned designer Shawn Shen. The academy's mission to plant the seed and nurture a lifelong love of music in children is reflected in the design, which incorporates natural elements such as trees and green grass. The unique space functions as multiple classrooms or a large event space, boasting high-quality acoustics and a tree-shaped desk at its core.

The design challenges of the 84 square meter hall with a low ceiling and structural columns were ingeniously overcome, resulting in a conservatory with a concert hall, waiting area, pantry, storage, and four classrooms. The space features movable soundproof partitions, curved glass, and walls, creating a transparent view and visual extension while maintaining privacy. The project, located in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, was completed in January 2019 after starting in September 2018.

Shawn Shen, the founder of Fifth Design Studio, has been recognized for his exceptional work in commercial and residential design projects. His emphasis on interior, architectural, and exhibition design has earned numerous awards, including the prestigious A' Design Award for this innovative project.
