Complementary Building Design by Jun Tang & Yaozong Han

Shanghai Tongyuan Architecture Design Co.,Ltd. proudly unveils the revitalized Sales Centre, a transformative architectural masterpiece, located at the main entrance of the Qin Lake Scenic Area in Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, China. The project, led by esteemed designers Jun Tang and Yaozong Han, breathes new life into the urban city, offering an exhibition hall that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding environment.

Within a limited transformation scope and with a focus on cost control, the original outer skin of the building was removed, and the facade was redesigned with a wind curtain wall on the west side, while the east side features a perforated aluminum curtain wall, enriching the interplay of light and shadow on the building facade. The project area spans 3,780 sqm, with the main materials used being aluminum, steel, and glass.

The revitalization project, which took place from April 2018 to March 2019, posed several challenges, including unifying the new content with the existing structure and creating a main entrance area for display within limited space. The designers successfully navigated these challenges, creating a harmonious coexistence between architecture and the environment, embodying the principle of "adapting to times-adapting to local conditions."

Jun Tang & Yaozong Han, based in Shanghai, China, were awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2020 for their exceptional work on the Sales Centre, recognizing their outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence in architectural design.
