Stage Ring Box: Redefining Proposal Moments

Yiting Liu's Stage Ring Box is a proposal ring box that elevates the emotional experience of a marriage proposal. The design emphasizes the ceremonial feel of the ring as it enters the stage, creating a sense of ritual and anticipation. Unlike traditional ring boxes that open instantly, the Stage Ring Box slowly raises the ring, enhancing the sacred moment and prolonging the sense of expectation.

The Stage Ring Box is made of resin, painted on the outside, and is simple in shape, making it easy to mold using a mold. Its technical specifications are R 22.75 x R 16.4 x H 52, and it is operated by slowly rotating the bottom part to raise the ring and remove the baffle, creating a heightened emotional experience for the proposer.

The project began in Guangzhou in April 2019, completed in May 2019, and was exhibited at Design China Beijing in September 2019. The design team, including Yiting Liu, Jiachun Zhou, and Baichuan Huang, overcame structural and user experience challenges to create this innovative and emotional design.
