Fengqi Gong's Bamboo Sound: A Fusion of Culture and Technology

Fengqi Gong's Bamboo Sound is a remarkable wayfinding system that embodies the cultural allure of Liyang City. Inspired by the boundless bamboo sea and the serene Tianmu Lake, this design aims to transform the Hotel of Seazen into a pearl of Liyang City, embracing the unique Jiangnan culture and bamboo heritage.

The design features a concise frame structure derived from South Chinese Garden techniques, with internal materials resembling flowing lake water. The use of multilayer frosted semitransparent acrylic creates a mesmerizing effect, evoking the image of bamboo leaves reflected on the water's surface. The system's ambient light further enhances the scenic experience, leaving mottled shadows akin to sunlight filtering through bamboo forests.

Realized through a meticulous process, the design involves silk printing bamboo patterns on acrylic layers, creating a multi-dimensional space that captivates the hotel's public areas. The use of a platinum ratio frame size and precise technical specifications further accentuate the design's visual appeal.

Fengqi Gong's Bamboo Sound has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2020, celebrating its innovative fusion of art, science, and technology. This accolade acknowledges the design's contribution to enhancing quality of life and making a positive impact on the world.
