Inspired by the lunar eclipse, the facade of the Xizhimen Port Apartment features bright colors that symbolize the rich expression of the surrounding community. The aluminum window frames project out from the exterior wall, creating a dynamic and vivid urban sculpture, setting it apart from traditional apartment buildings.

The project's design not only revitalizes the appearance of the old building but also stimulates the vitality of the community, providing a warm and inspiring home for urban young people. The innovative facade, designed to inspire its residents, represents a new model for urban renewal and architectural renovation, offering a fresh approach to the development of the city.

Wang Zhe, the chief architect and project manager, led the design team in overcoming the challenges of balancing the existing structural conditions with bold architectural expression and current building technologies.
