SHAO-FONG WANG introduces Taisi, a private residence in downtown Taoyuan, drawing inspiration from the Taoyuan Martyrs' Shrine, completed in 1938, blending ancient Chinese Tang dynasty, Japanese, and contemporary Taiwanese architectural styles.

SHAO-FONG WANG's Taisi is a private residence in downtown Taoyuan, designed for an entrepreneurial couple, featuring log material, special cement, and bricks from Toki, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, creating a vintage and tranquil environment. The 83-square meter space, completed in April 2019, serves as a meeting place for business and social gatherings, embodying noble entrepreneurial ambition.
The design incorporates Rain tree, Taiwan Cypress, lotos plaster, and Tatami, showcasing a blend of materials to enhance the texture and brightness of the space. The kitchen, a focal point of the design, seamlessly integrates vintage and peaceful atmosphere, overcoming structural challenges to maintain a relaxed and comfortable living space.
Recognized with the Silver A' Design Award in 2020 for outstanding expertise and innovation, Taisi exemplifies excellence, creativity, and remarkable design, reflecting the designer's dedication to quality and credibility.
