Award-Winning Designer Hongfei Yan Unveils the Suzhou Sales Center

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Minimalist Oriental Sales Center Inspired by Suzhou's Classical Gardens

Hongfei Yan, the renowned designer and founding partner of WJ Design, has unveiled the Guanlan Yipin sales center, a fusion of oriental spirit and modern minimalism. Drawing inspiration from Suzhou's classical gardens and the Suzhou Museum, the project beautifully captures the ancient and modern correspondence of this vibrant city. The spatial rhythm of Suzhou's architecture and its unique garden experience are the guiding principles behind this remarkable design.

Suzhou, known for its warmth and beauty, serves as the perfect backdrop for this project. The design vocabulary of deconstructionism intertwines with the order, level, form, and temperament, creating a space that embodies the essence of "Minimalist Oriental." The use of multiple materials such as marble, metal, sandstone, and wood sets the fundamental tone, while the incorporation of Dai Cyan marble pays homage to traditional Chinese colors, adding a touch of elegance to the space.

The project, which commenced in November 2019 and concluded in June 2020, posed various creative and technical challenges. Capturing natural light without revealing the lighting source was a key focus, achieved through the clever use of French windows and the integration of natural elements like trees and stones within the interior. The result is a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor spaces, reflecting the harmony between man and nature.
