Ryo Shimizu's "Visual Identity" exhibition offers a new take on the popular character Sanzo Hoshi, blending three-dimensional visual design with historical inspiration.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ryo Shimizu's "Visual Identity" exhibition presents a fresh perspective on the popular character Sanzo Hoshi, drawing inspiration from the story of Xuan (Sanzo Hoshi) and integrating a three-dimensional visual design. The exhibition, which took place from October 2014 to August 2015, aimed to align the visuals with the venue space, offering a unique and immersive experience for visitors.
Shimizu's approach to the visual design of the exhibition was to iconify the silhouette of the ginseng, creating a three-dimensional composition that hollows the painting with the silhouette of a person. The exhibition aimed to appeal to the audience through titles and icons, integrating the design with the venue and adjusting the color scheme to the taste of the exhibit.
The "Visual Identity" exhibition was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements. Shimizu's work has been respected for integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
