Koen van Rijen unveils "Open" - a striking packaging design concept that redefines the art of presenting photography magazines.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Koen van Rijen's latest project, "Open," introduces a revolutionary approach to packaging sleeves for photography magazines. Inspired by raw human emotion captured in the magazines, the design features natural cardboard with visible fibers, creating a contrast and minimalism with anthracite color and neon pastel ink for the numbers.
The custom-made sleeves, each uniquely stamped, are made of thick anthracite cardboard with embossed and screen-printed numbers, housing six different photography magazines. The cut-away in the boxes forms the letter "O," symbolizing openness and uniqueness.
Handmade with meticulous attention to detail, the sleeves offer a tactile and visual experience, allowing the word "open" to appear when the inner sleeve is slid out, showcasing the innovative interaction of the design.
