FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Kama-Asa Shop's Rebar-Inspired Kitchen Utensils

Kama-Asa Shop, known for its belief that good tools are made for good reason, unveils a groundbreaking design concept for kitchen utensils, drawing inspiration from the rebar, a stick-shaped rolled steel material typically used in building construction. The shop's space now showcases the architectural skills of craftsmen, with rebar becoming the main design element, visible in handrails and furniture. Despite their simplicity, these designs require the use of craftsman skills, delivering excellent quality to customers.

The rebar-inspired kitchen utensils project began in May 2018 and was completed in July 2020 at Kama-Asa Shop's location at 2-24-1 Matsugaya, Taito-ku, Tokyo. The design project was led by Masahiro Yoshida, the representative of Kamitopen Corp., who holds a first-class architect license and has received numerous awards for his innovative designs.

This unique design was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the A' Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence. The rebar-inspired kitchen utensils are a testament to Kama-Asa Shop's commitment to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and innovative design to its customers.
