Qi2: Multi-Modularized Water Purifier

PLAINLIV TAIWAN CO., LTD. is proud to announce the launch of Qi2, a state-of-the-art multi-modularized water purifier that redefines the concept of water treatment. Inspired by the array of bricks, the Qi2 design incorporates multiple water treatment methods into different modules or filter cartridges, such as PolyPropylene, Active Carbon, Ultra Violet, UltraFiltration, and Reverse Osmosis, allowing consumers to create their customized water purifiers based on the water quality of their area.

The mobilized design of Qi2 enables consumers to easily add, reduce, and replace filter cartridges at their convenience, providing a DIY approach to water purification. The solid filter cartridge design ensures that the combined cartridges become the purifier itself, offering a time-saving and efficient solution for water treatment. Additionally, the modular cartridge allows for seamless switching between RO, UV, and direct drinking systems, with optional filters or functions such as IoT sensor modules, flavor/taste modules, and instant cooling/heating modules.

The realization of the sluice-type replacement method is achieved through advanced plastic injection technology, ensuring a water-tight design with elegant aesthetics. With the ability to choose up to five specific filters, the Qi2 offers a range of sizes to accommodate different combinations, providing consumers with a versatile and customizable water purification system.

Qi2 is designed to be straightforward and easy to install, operate, and maintain, allowing users to interact with the product effortlessly. The design project began with global water purifier market research in Winter 2018, followed by workshops in Taiwan and rigorous validation processes. The product has been recognized with the Gold Medal Award at the Taiwan Innotech Expo, with mass production and delivery scheduled before the Christmas season in November 2020.
