Ziye Zhao's Manas Design Space

Manas Design Space by Ziye Zhao is an innovative office design that prioritizes the well-being and joy of its occupants. The 600-square-meter space was transformed from a 460-square-meter area, with a focus on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The design stands out with its emphasis on natural elements, including the flow of air, natural plants, and optimal use of light. The office furniture and materials are chosen with ergonomics and environmental sustainability in mind, promoting a healthy and eco-friendly workspace.

One of the unique features of Manas Design Space is the inclusion of various shared spaces such as a book bar, fitness area, yoga room, and dining room, fostering an open, diverse, and inclusive environment. The design has abandoned traditional independent offices in favor of creating a collaborative and communal workspace.

The project faced challenges during implementation, particularly in transforming the original structure and balancing the diverse functions. However, the result is a multi-functional, inclusive, and changeable space that encourages interaction and collaboration among teams.

Ziye Zhao's design has been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2022, acknowledging its practicality, innovation, and contribution to a better working world. The project has also received accolades in the Chinese Architectural Decoration Industry and other domestic interior design awards, solidifying its position as a groundbreaking and original design agency.
