Idan Chiang's "Family With a Pearl Necklace" is a 1700m2 luxury residential project in Taipei, completed in 2018. The design is centered around the Green Aquamarine Necklace by Jean-Michel Othoniel, creating a space that resonates with the flow and interplay of the hand-blown glass beads. The project emphasizes the fusion of contemporary art and living spaces, transcending materiality to reflect humanity.
The residence, designed for a family of five, features 4 floors with carefully planned layouts for public, private, and entertainment spaces. The project's unique approach involved a two-year journey of art exploration and curation, culminating in a collection that guided the overall design of the space.
Idan Chiang's strong philosophy of unifying various disciplines is evident in this project, reflecting her unique perspective on exploring social trends and people's needs.
