Res Zinniker's Noxx Bottle Design

The newly founded Eisbock brewery sought the expertise of graphic designer and illustrator Res Zinniker to craft a captivating packaging design, resulting in the creation of the Noxx series. Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft and other eerie characters, the design features dark and mysterious creatures, printed directly on the glass using screen printing technology. Each type is distinguished by a special color in addition to white, making the bottles as dark as night.

The longneck beer bottles stand at a height of 226.5mm with a circumference of 189mm, offering a printable area of 189x79mm. The design, which began in January 2017 in Zug, Switzerland, was completed in June 2018, after extensive research and collaboration with the client to bring the eerie world of Lovecraft to life on the packaging.

Res Zinniker's exceptional Noxx Bottle Design was honored with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding creativity, technical excellence, and innovative approach. The design successfully captures the uncanny feeling, immediately attracting attention and leaving a lasting impression on consumers, in line with the client's vision for excellence in both beer quality and packaging design.
