Cleverly Combining Cakes and Flowers

Award-winning designers Jiaxin Lv, Ying Zhang, and Yufei Gao have unveiled their latest creation, "The Language of Emotion and Time," a unique cake packaging concept that integrates real flowers to convey emotions and indicate freshness. This innovative design aims to reduce the use of industrial products and promote environmental friendliness, while also adding a touch of elegance to the gifting experience.

The packaging is made of recyclable hard cardboard shell, with a decomposable transparent flower box, effectively reducing overall plastic usage. Measuring 15cm*15cm*15cm, the flower box is attached to the top side of the package, allowing users to easily detach and recycle it for living storage.

The concept work for this project was completed in Xuzhou in May 2022, following extensive research and multiple design iterations to ensure a seamless integration of flowers and packaging. The design team conducted surveys to gather insights from flower and sweet tooth enthusiasts, addressing creative and technical challenges to achieve the perfect blend of form and function.

Recipient of the Bronze A' Design Award in 2023, this innovative packaging design by Jiaxin Lv Ying Zhang Yufei Gao represents a harmonious fusion of art, science, and technology, contributing to a more sustainable and emotionally resonant gifting experience.
