FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chia-Yu Yeh's Lightwist: Transformable Floor Lamp

Chia-Yu Yeh's Lightwist is a dynamic floor lamp with a new-type kinetic geometry structure, composed of 88 paper Tetrahedrons. Inspired by the charming kaleidocycle, the lamp gradually twists itself and changes shape when turned on, resembling a living creature breathing. The bionic movement and warm lighting create a unique atmosphere, offering users a charming lighting experience.

The lamp measures 400mm in width, 400mm in depth, and 880mm in height. It is operated by turning on the light, which initiates the gradual transformation, allowing users to adjust their breathing pace to match the lamp's movement.

The project, which began in April 2016 and concluded in January 2019 in Taiwan, was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2023 for its well-designed, practical, and innovative creation that meets professional and industrial requirements.

Chia-Yu Yeh's Lightwist is a testament to the fusion of art and technology, providing a captivating and functional addition to interior spaces.
