Kaïn Kerkhove unveils Celina, a portable speaker designed to blend luxury and functionality, created at Howest University Of Applied Sciences Belgium
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kaïn Kerkhove introduces Celina, a portable speaker that seamlessly blends luxury and functionality. The speaker is designed to stand out while effortlessly blending into any environment, featuring a unique combination of woven wool and textured aluminum that creates a visually stunning look. The design incorporates a 360-degree bass output, illuminated to create a floating effect, and a ring that molds around the upper part, emphasizing a sense of entirety.
The speaker's shell is crafted using ABS plastic to hold the internals and fabric together, ensuring easy assembly. The upper part is made of milled aluminum, finished with a textured powder coat, and the ring is constructed from stamped sheet metal. With dimensions of 170 mm x 90 mm x 84 mm, Celina offers a compact and stylish audio solution.
Celina's functionality is intuitive, with simple controls for power, volume adjustment, and song selection. The speaker seamlessly transitions between Bluetooth and Aux modes, while LED indicators provide battery status and charging level updates. The design process for Celina began in February 2019 and was completed by June 2019 at Howest University Of Applied Sciences Belgium.
Kaïn Kerkhove's design of Celina was driven by a desire to create a portable speaker that exudes luxury and functionality, addressing the lack of identity in existing products. The result is a statement piece that combines premium materials with innovative design elements, setting a new standard for portable audio solutions.
