SS Navigator: A Versatile and High-Performance Watch Collection

The SS Navigator Watch Collection is a testament to the marine world, optimizing precision, reliability, and quality. With a strong nautical theme, the watches feature elements such as a nautical chart and teak deck, offering a sophisticated design that resonates with those embracing the marine lifestyle.

Designed in Ireland and assembled in Hong Kong, each watch boasts a 316L stainless steel case, sapphire crystal glass, and a handcrafted crocodile or calfskin strap. The tourbillon self-winding movement, Peacock SL 5215, powers the watches, offering a running time of 40 hours and a small power reserve hand at 12 o'clock.

The SS Navigator project commenced in June 2018, with the first prototype created in January 2019. The final prototype was perfected by August 2019, after meticulous adjustments and feedback collection from a selected group of individuals.

The SS Navigator's design process was deeply rooted in research, focusing on the popularity of marine-style watches in the men's fashion industry. The incorporation of nautical map textures and marine teak deck elements resulted in a unique and well-received design.

Despite creative and technical challenges, such as implementing luminescent paint and sourcing the tourbillon movement holder, the SS Navigator successfully overcame these obstacles, resulting in a stunning and functional timepiece collection.

Martin Iglody, the mastermind behind the SS Navigator, is an independent watch designer based in Cork, Ireland. His dedication to watch design and understanding of manufacturing processes have led to the creation of this award-winning collection.
