Neko Goten: A Unique Blend of Japanese Craftsmanship and Feline Comfort

This exquisite piece of pet furniture is a testament to the artistry and precision of Japanese woodworking, offering a safe and elegant play area for cats. Crafted from oak and cedar wood sourced from Fukui Prefecture, "Neko Goten" is a compact yet opulent addition to any Japanese rental house, cat cafe, or discerning pet owner's home.

Designed with a keen understanding of feline behavior, "Neko Goten" provides a comfortable environment for cats to live in, while seamlessly blending into the interior decor. Its thoughtful layout and carefully selected materials ensure that both the cat and its owner are pleased with the design. The product's dimensions, measuring 2200mm in width, 600mm in depth, and 1800mm in height, reflect its spacious and accommodating nature.

"Neko Goten" is a result of meticulous craftsmanship, utilizing the skills of furniture artisans to hand-finish the product. The cat tower's unique features include a staircase, a clawing board, a relaxing hemisphere, a running roller, and designated areas for feeding and resting, providing a comprehensive play and living space for the feline residents.

This project, which commenced in Tokyo in January 2020 and concluded in June 2020, will be launched through a Japanese crowdfunding campaign in July 2020. The design process involved extensive research to ensure that "Neko Goten" caters to the comfort and habits of cats, making it a standout addition to any space.

Despite the challenges posed by its size and multifunctional design, "Neko Goten" stands as a testament to the dedication of the design team in showcasing Japanese craftsmanship. The cat tower's incorporation of sleeping, toilet, and eating spaces, along with its understanding of feline habits, makes it a truly remarkable piece of pet furniture.

Hitomi Otake, the designer behind "Neko Goten," has brought her expertise and passion for design to create this exceptional cat tower. Her commitment to excellence is evident in the product's recognition, as it was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, a testament to its outstanding innovation and technical prowess.
