Jiannan Zhang's May Cuisine design draws inspiration from the mature bayberry, infusing the space with a classic red color palette to evoke a vivid, sexy, and artistic ambiance.
The restaurant's unique features include geometric block interspersing, a high central space for spatial balance, and a dramatic juxtaposition of metal and cement textures, creating a visually captivating atmosphere.
Realized using floor paint, multifunctional paint, stainless steel, glass, fabric art, steel plate, and terrazzo, the design perfectly encapsulates the fusion of modern, retro, and artistic elements.
Incorporating local fire codes and property requirements, the design optimally accommodates 60 diners, offering a visually balanced and functional dining experience.
Jiannan Zhang's May Cuisine design was awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence.
