Lightime: Redefining Timekeeping with Modern Technology

Arvin Maleki's Lightime is a revolutionary take on traditional wall clocks, utilizing intelligent modern technology to offer a unique timekeeping experience. The clock's minimalist design, featuring a shining light to emphasize the importance of time, sets it apart from conventional timepieces.

One of the standout features of Lightime is its ability to adapt to any environment. Users can set the color of the clock to complement their furniture and interior style, adding an aesthetic dimension to timekeeping.

With a circle radius of 15cm and a depth of 42mm, Lightime weighs 500g, making it a versatile addition to any space. The design process, which began in Vancouver, Canada, in March 2021, culminated in the clock's completion in January 2022.

Arvin Maleki, the mastermind behind Lightime, overcame various challenges during the design process, including embedding circuits in the clock, creating an appealing clock face, and reimagining the clock as a piece of homeware.

Arvin Maleki, the executive director of design at Futuredge Design Studio, is a highly acclaimed designer, having won numerous international awards and accolades, including the prestigious A' Design Award. His innovative approach to digital and electronic device design has solidified his position as a leading figure in the design industry.
