Discovery and Exploration Exhibition Space

Step into a captivating exhibition space showcasing 500 artifacts from prehistory to the Tang Dynasty, carefully curated to offer a clear and intuitive experience for the audience. The exhibition aims to provide a new perspective on historical and cultural heritage, offering a unique opportunity to explore the latest archaeological discoveries in Shaanxi.

The exhibition space, covering 485 square meters with a height of 2.7 meters, features modern techniques to convey the continuous history and culture, creating a visually impactful and artistically expressive environment. The design team, led by Biwei Zhu, meticulously crafted fixed structures made of copper material to ensure the stability and safety of the displays.

Challenges such as showcasing a diverse range of cultural relics in a limited space were overcome through innovative solutions, including the use of visual grids as a language in space and the design of custom copper structures to securely and aesthetically display delicate items such as bronze mirrors, ceramics, and tiles.

Biwei Zhu's exhibition space design received the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its outstanding contribution to art, science, and technology. The design not only presents the latest archaeological findings but also offers a new visual experience, inviting visitors to explore the rich history and cultural significance of the artifacts on display.
