FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CAPA's 'Milky Way' is a monumental 90-meter diameter, 40-meter high installation art piece that now graces the skyline of Wuhan, China. The sculpture, inspired by the urban landscape of Wuhan, features intense lines of curves symbolizing the city's three towns and a circular shape representing aspirations for a better future. Illuminated with full-color LED lights, the sculpture offers a mesmerizing visual experience, showcasing the mystery and charm of the universe.
The 'Milky Way' installation, realized using stainless steel forged spray paint, is a testament to CAPA's innovative approach to public art. The use of full-color LED lights with seven preset colors allows for a dynamic visual display, catering to different themes and occasions, such as weekday mode, holiday mode, New Year mode, and major event commemoration mode.
Spanning 90 meters in diameter and standing at a height of 40 meters, the 'Milky Way' is a remarkable feat of design and engineering, weighing in at 1400 tons. The project, which was completed between 2018 and 2019, serves as a testament to CAPA's commitment to pushing the boundaries of public art and creating iconic landmarks that captivate and inspire.
